Bolt free tier limits in 2026
Bolt Free is $0 with 1 million tokens a month and a 300,000 daily cap. Branding stays, and custom domains do not. Checked on 3 November 2026.
Answer
Bolt's pricing page lists Free at $0 a month, with 1 million tokens a month and a 300,000 token daily limit. Unused free tokens do not roll over. Hosting is included, Bolt branding stays, and custom domains are not on Free. A Supabase database requires Pro or Teams. Checked on 3 November 2026.
The short version
Bolt.new still has a free plan in 2026. The pricing page lists it at $0 a month and says free forever, no card required. The same card says you get 1 million tokens a month to try Bolt, public and private projects, Bolt branding on websites, unlimited databases, and website hosting. The comparison table under that card is more specific about the ceilings. Checked on 3 November 2026.
The billing help describes the same free plan in sentences: build and publish at no cost, with a few limits, aimed at small personal projects and experimenting. This guide uses both pages. It does not report a hands-on build. The Bolt tool page is where the labeled affiliate button lives. This guide links the official pages and the tool page. It does not add a second affiliate link.
The token limits
Tokens are Bolt's usage unit. The pricing FAQ says Bolt uses tokens when it reads your prompts and project files, makes a plan, or writes code. Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and you can see the balance on the Subscription and Tokens page.
On the comparison table, Monthly AI tokens for Free is 1M. Daily token limit is 300K. Pro, Teams, and Enterprise show no daily limit. Unused tokens roll over is marked not included on Free and included on the paid columns.
The billing help says your usage shows as a daily bar and a monthly bar. The daily bar refreshes every day. The monthly bar resets on the 1st. Unused usage does not roll over. So a quiet Tuesday does not bank tokens for Friday, and the 300,000 daily cap can stop you even when the monthly million is not used up.
This guide does not say how many prompts fit in 300,000 tokens. Bolt's own definition depends on the size of the project files, because reading those files spends tokens. A bigger project costs more per message. That is a reason to keep the first project to one page.
Hosting, branding, and uploads
Website hosting is included on Free. The billing help says you can publish to a free bolt.host URL, with up to 10 GB of bandwidth and 333,333 web requests a month. The pricing table lists web requests for Free as 333K, which is the same ceiling written with a K. The help page adds the consequence: there is no way to increase these limits, and if you go over, the site goes offline for the rest of the month.
Branding stays. The free card says Bolt branding on websites. The table marks Bolt branding removed as not included on Free and included on Pro. The billing help says free projects show a Made in Bolt badge, and a paid plan removes it.
Custom domains are not included on Free. Both the table and the billing help say that. File uploads are 10MB on Free and 100MB on Pro and Teams.
Public and private projects are included. Access to the best and newest AI models is marked not included on Free and included on Pro. This guide does not name which model Free uses, because the pricing page did not name one in that row.
Databases
The free card says unlimited databases. The billing help is the sentence to read next to that word. There is no limit to how many databases you can have on the Free plan. Using a Supabase database requires a Pro or Teams plan.
If the first version only needs Bolt's own database, Free allows it, with no published cap on how many of those databases. If you already decided on Supabase, Free is the wrong plan. The databases category is the page for that choice, and it is a separate product with its own bill.
What Pro changes, in dollars
Pro is $25 a month when billed monthly. The card says everything in Free, plus your own domain and no Bolt branding, 10 million tokens a month with rollover, expanded database capacity, a choice of database provider, access to the newest AI models, connectors and MCPs, and SEO boosting. The table says monthly tokens start at 10M, the daily limit is none, and rollover is included.
Teams is $30 a month per member, billed monthly. Tokens start at 10M per member. The card describes centralized billing and team admin. Enterprise is custom, with unlimited tokens priced by consumption.
The pricing page also has a yearly toggle that says save up to 28 percent. This guide does not print a yearly dollar total, because the monthly view of the page did not show one. The billing help says to toggle annual on the pricing page for the current yearly price. Use that toggle rather than a number from an old screenshot.
Paid rollover is described in the billing help as tokens that are used first and remain valid for two months, and it assumes you keep a paid subscription. That sentence is about paid plans. It does not undo the Free column, which says rollover is not included.
How to stay inside Free on purpose
- One page, no login, no Supabase.
- Watch both bars, not only the monthly one. The daily 300,000 can be the one that stops you.
- Publish to the bolt.host URL and expect the badge.
- If the site must stay up past the bandwidth or request cap, Free cannot raise it. That is a paid problem, or a move to another host.
- If you want the files without Bolt branding, or a domain you own, read Pro before you keep prompting. More free prompts do not unlock those rows.
Replit vs Bolt lines up the other free publish path. Bolt vs Lovable is the credit-based alternative. Is Lovable free? answers the same question for Lovable's grants. None of those pages is a speed test.
The best free AI app builders page collects the other $0 doors. Checked on 3 November 2026. This guide does not describe Bolt Forge, because the pricing cards that day did not list it on Free or the $25 Pro card.
